Not Financial Advice

Effective Date: May 23, 2026  ·  Last Updated: May 23, 2026

Maeva surfaces information about your linked cards and available rewards offers. It is not financial advice. Your actual savings depend on your spending and your card issuer's terms.

What this page covers

This page explains how Maeva talks about money and why nothing in the app constitutes personalized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. It applies to every recommendation, savings summary, and offer the app surfaces.

The full disclaimer

The information Maeva provides — including card recommendations, offer surfacing, and savings summaries — is informational only. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice and should not be relied upon as such. Your actual rewards earnings depend on your card issuer's terms, the merchant's participation, and your spending patterns. Maeva does not guarantee any specific savings outcome.

Consult a licensed professional for advice tailored to your individual circumstances before making financial decisions.

About card recommendations

When Maeva tells you which card to use at a specific merchant, the recommendation is based on the cashback rates your linked cards earn at that merchant according to publicly-available rewards programs and the data Maeva receives from Visa Intelligent Commerce. The recommendation does not consider:

Maeva is a starting point — always check your card's current terms before assuming a specific reward will apply.

About savings figures

Any dollar amount Maeva shows you as "saved" or "earned" is a calculated estimate based on transaction signals we've received and the rewards rates we've matched to those transactions. It is not a guarantee that your card issuer has posted, or will post, that amount as cashback or points to your account. Your card issuer's records are the source of truth for your actual rewards balance.

About offer surfacing

Offers shown in Maeva come from third parties — your card issuer, participating merchants, and the Visa Intelligent Commerce network. Maeva does not set the terms of any offer and is not liable if an offer is changed, withdrawn, or unavailable at the moment of purchase. Always confirm the offer is still active before relying on it for a buying decision.

If you have a financial question

For questions about your specific financial situation, talk to a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or your card issuer's customer service directly. Maeva can't and won't provide that kind of guidance.
