1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, signing into Maeva, or using the Maeva mobile application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service is provided by Maeva ("Maeva," "we," "us"). You can reach us at support@maevarewards.com.
2. Eligibility
To use Maeva you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- Be a resident of the United States.
- Have at least one valid credit or debit card issued by a US financial institution to receive the Service's core value (rewards-related features). You can create an account without linking a card, but most features require one.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, and keep that information up to date.
3. The Service
Maeva is a rewards intelligence and notification service. The Service:
- Identifies which of your linked credit or debit cards earns the most cashback or rewards at a given merchant or category.
- Surfaces offers from your card issuers and from participating merchants.
- Sends you proximity-based notifications when you enter a merchant area where one of your cards earns rewards.
- With your authorization, enrolls you in rewards programs at participating merchants on your behalf.
- Provides a dashboard and weekly digest summarizing your savings.
Maeva is not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, money transmitter, credit reporting agency, financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, or insurance company. We do not hold funds, move money, issue credit, or provide individualized financial planning.
4. Not Financial Advice
The information Maeva provides — including card recommendations, offer surfacing, and savings summaries — is informational only. It is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice and should not be relied upon as such. Your actual rewards earnings depend on your card issuer's terms, the merchant's participation, and your spending patterns. Maeva does not guarantee any specific savings outcome.

5. Master Consent and Auto-Enrollment
When you link a card and grant master consent for auto-enrollment, you authorize Maeva to:
- Sign you up for rewards programs at participating merchants where one or more of your linked cards is eligible for cashback or other rewards.
- Use the card metadata you've provided (network, product type, last four digits) and your contact information (email address, optionally phone number) to complete those enrollments on your behalf.
- Receive enrollment confirmations and offer activations on your behalf and surface them in the Service.
You can revoke this authorization at any time in Settings → Auto-enrollment. Revocation stops future auto-enrollments but does not automatically unenroll you from rewards programs you have already joined; you would need to opt out of those programs directly through the merchant's app or customer service.
The current version of the master-consent terms shown to you in the app is recorded in our consent audit log along with the timestamp and IP address at which you granted consent.
6. Your Account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any acts of anyone you allow to access your account.
- Keep your password confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and email security@maevarewards.com.
- You may not share your account with others, sell your account, or transfer it to another person.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent behavior, or use the Service in a way that could harm Maeva or other users.
7. Card Linking
When you link a card to Maeva, you authorize us to use a third-party financial data aggregator (Plaid) to retrieve card metadata and related rewards eligibility data from your card issuer. You also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference and available at plaid.com/legal.
You can unlink a card at any time in the app, which removes our ability to retrieve further updates from your issuer for that card. Previously-earned rewards are not affected.
8. Referrals
Maeva offers a referral feature that lets you invite others to use the Service. By participating:
- You agree not to use the referral feature for spam, mass distribution, or any conduct that violates anti-spam or consumer protection laws.
- Referral rewards become eligible only after the referred user completes specific in-app activities described in the app. We reserve the right to adjust the eligibility criteria or pause the feature at any time, with notice.
- Maeva may reverse or void referral rewards we determine in good faith to be obtained through fraud, self-referral, or abuse.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, federal, or international law.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as expressly permitted by law.
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots, etc.) to access the Service without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or entity.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all text, graphics, logos, software, and content, is owned by Maeva or our licensors and is protected by US and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.
The Maeva name and logo are trademarks of Maeva.
11. Fees
Maeva is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce premium features or paid tiers in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and you will have the option to decline.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party services including but not limited to Plaid, Visa Intelligent Commerce, Apple, Google, and Anthropic. Your use of those services is also governed by the respective provider's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of those third parties.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maeva disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of data.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Any savings, rewards, or offers presented in the Service will actually be earned or available at the time of purchase.
- The information provided is accurate, complete, or up to date.
You use the Service at your own risk.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAEVA AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed $100 or the total fees you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maeva from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.
16. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via My Account → Delete account in the app, or by emailing support@maevarewards.com. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our discretion for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or other reasons described in our policies. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, indemnification, disclaimers, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
17. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules. You and Maeva waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing legal@maevarewards.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of formation of Maeva's operating entity (to be finalized at LLC formation), without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Maeva regarding the Service.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely.
